Credits are the unit of usage for Scaniverse’s cloud services. They are redeemed whenever you:
Run asset generation on your scans
Make VPS localization queries
You can buy Top-ups to supplement your monthly allotment of credits. The cost of Top-ups depends on your account tier:
Free: 1,800 per $1
Plus: 2,000 per $1
Pro: 2,100 per $1
Top-ups are sold in $1 increments with a minimum charge of $5 per purchase.
You can also upgrade your plan any time, for more monthly credits and a better price on Top-ups. Heavy users will likely benefit from a custom Enterprise plan.
Free plans: Every month’s allotment expires in one month.
Monthly plans: Every month’s allotment expires in 3 months.
Annual plans: Every month’s allotment expires in 12 months.
Top-up credits expire in 3 months for all monthly accounts (including Free), and in 12 months for all annual plans.
Today the key ones are:
Asset generation – Scaniverse mobile capture
30 credits per second, 1,800 credits per minute of video.
Example: generating assets from a 5 minute scan created on Scaniverse mobile will require 9,000 credits.
360° camera Gaussian splat generation – 360° degree video capture
120 credits per second of video, 7,200 credits per minute of video.
Example: generating a Gaussian splat from 5 minutes of 360° camera video will require 36,000 credits.

You’ll see the credit cost before starting an asset generation job, so you can decide whether to go ahead based on your remaining balance.
Credits are charged when the asset generation job starts.
If the job fails for any reason, those credits are automatically refunded back to your balance.
If an asset generation job fails, you won’t be charged for a failed job.
If you try to generate an asset but don’t have enough credits:
The job is blocked before it starts.
You’ll see a clear in‑app message explaining that you’ve run out of credits.
You’ll be directed to visit the Scaniverse website to buy Top-Ups or upgrade your plan.
Plan selection, upgrades, downgrades, and payment management are all handled exclusively through the organization's dashboard on Scaniverse Web. This includes changing from a monthly to an annual plan.
The mobile app displays a read-only billing dashboard, including your current plan, credit usage, and seats used.
Should your payment method fail upon your subscription's renewal date, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the billing cycle that has been paid. To restore your plan features and credits, you will need to update your payment information and successfully complete the charge.
Any currently monthly credits will expire three months after they were granted. Your new annual plan will take effect immediately. with your first month’s credit allotments expiring in 12 months. Any current Top-up credits will retain their original expiration date of 3 months after purchase. Credits that expire sooner will be used first.
When you upgrade from Plus to Pro, you will be charged the number of months remaining in your billing cycle times $25, which is the difference in cost between the plans divided by 12 months. You will receive additional monthly credits with your next monthly allotment. Your annual renewal date will remain the same.
Example: If you upgrade from an annual Plus plan to an annual Pro plan after three months, you will be charged $225 ($25 per month difference times 9 months).
If you need more credits before the next allotment, you can buy Top-Up credits at the Pro rate.
Mid-cycle Plan Upgrade: If you choose to upgrade to a higher-tier monthly plan before your current billing cycle ends, any unspent credits you have will be carried over and added to the new credit allocation of your upgraded plan.
Example: If you have 500 credits remaining on the Free plan and upgrade to the Pro plan (which includes 40,000 credits), your new billing cycle will begin with a total of 40,500 credits.
Downgrades: If you downgrade mid‑cycle, you keep the features and credits of your higher plan until the start of your next billing cycle. Plan reductions take effect only at the new cycle.
Plans include a maximum number of seats per organization. Any user who accepts an invitation to your organization occupies a seat. If a user never accepts an invitation, they will not count toward your seat limit.
If your org reaches its seat limit you won’t be able to invite new team members until you upgrade to a plan with more seats.
No. Generating Gaussian Splats from 360° videos is an exclusive feature for Plus and Pro subscribers. This functionality is not available on the Free Plan.
360° Gaussian splats can only be generated on Scaniverse Web. 360° videos are intended to be uploaded and processed via Scaniverse Web. You can still view Gaussian splats in the app once they’re generated in the cloud.
You can use the assets you generate for your own projects, within the bounds of Scaniverse’s Terms of Service.
For commercial rights, including resale, you must be on a Pro plan or Enterprise contract.

Yes. The plans described on this page are a new and separate experience with new features such as combining multiple scans into one asset, cloud processing, support for 360° cameras, and multi-user organizations. You can continue using the Classic version.
No. Classic Scaniverse works exactly the same as before, with a separate account login from New Scaniverse. You are welcome to use both.
No. You can continue using Classic Scaniverse to generate unlimited 3D Gaussian splats on your device. However, your device cannot process assets that support localization within New Scaniverse; those must be uploaded to and processed in the cloud.
Yes, you can, on iOS. New Scaniverse for Android is under development.
To switch from New to Classic, press the Account button at bottom, then Sign out. You can then choose to return to the Classic version which will present the familiar map.
To switch from Classic to New, press the Library button at bottom of the map, then the gear icon at the top. Select “Discover the New Scaniverse” and press Continue to sign in or sign up for an account on New Scaniverse.
No, at this time you cannot import previous scans or splats into your New Scaniverse account.
